Agapanthia fallax is a species endemic to Turkey. According to Rejzek et al. [2003(2004)] Agapanthia fallax develops in Scorzonera sp. (Asteraceae). To the best of our knowledge the species has never been collected outside its type locality. The depicted beetle was collected in Buglan Gecidi (East Turkey).
