The prepared female beetle was found whilst sitting on trunk of living Quercus in NE Iran,
prov. Khorasan, Golestan forest 55 km NE Minudast in the late afternoon. The living male hatched in 2002
from a larva collected in a Quercus sp. in the same locality.
