Clytus taurusiensis is a species endemic to SW Turkey (Taurus and Nurdag Mts.). The species
is mainly associated with Ficus carica but there are indications that it might be polyphagous
in broad-leaved trees.
| Body length: | 6 - 10 mm |
| Life cycle: | 2 years [?] |
| Adults in: | May - July |
| Host plant: | Ficus carica |
| Distribution: | an endemic species to Turkey |
The depicted beetle was collected in Namrun (SW Turkey) on dead offspring of Ficus carica. Especially burned branches seemed
to attract this nice longhorn beetle. It is a very quick running beetle and it is very difficult to catch it.
