Deroplia gomerae is a nocturnal species endemic to La Gomera (Canary Islands).
The species is polyphagous on herbaceous plants, shrubs and also deciduous trees (Ficus carica).

The depicted beetle was reared from a larva found in a dead twig of Argyranthemum sp. in Valle Gran Rey (La Gomera, Canary Islands).
