According to Rejzek M. et al. (2002 [2003]) in Iran Neoplocaederus scapularis develops in Asafoetida (Ferula foetida, Apiaceae).

Adults in:May - July
Host plant:Ferula foetida
Distribution:Iran, Afghanistan, Central Asia

The depicted beetles were collected in Dorud near Borugerd (prov. Lorestan, West Iran).
