This common species develops in living branches of Salix caprea (but also other broadleaf trees) and the adults are found on leaves of the host trees.

Body length:15 - 21 mm
Life cycle:1 - 3 years
Adults in:June - September
Host plant:willow (Salix)
Distribution:West Palaearctic

The beetle in the upper picture was collected in Kost village (Central Bohemia, Czech Republic) on leaves of goat willow (Salix caprea). The beetle on the lower picture was collected in Volx (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, France).
