Parmena pubescens is a Mediterranean species. It develops in a broad variety of herbaceous plants and occasionally in shrubs and trees. Very frequently it can be found on dead stalks of Euphorbia plants. It is a nocturnal species, and therefore, it is necessary to inspect the plants at night.

Adults in:April - October
Host plant:broadly polyphagous in herbaceous plants, deciduos trees and shrubs
Distribution:Mediterranean area

The depicted beetle was collected and photographed on the host-plant (Euphorbia wulfenii) in Areopolis (SW of Peloponnese, Greece).
