A recently described species so far only known from Iran. The insect oviposits on living terminal twigs of Acer monspessulanum ssp. cinerascens. The larva girdles the twig to interrupt flow of sap and develops in the dead part of the twig. The specimen in the pictures was recorded in Lorestan province, Iran.
