The depicted beetles were reared from larvae collected in dead wood (cf. Figure 1) of Acacia tortilis
(cf. Figure 2) found in a wadi (cf. Figure 3) near Mizda (Hamada al Hamra) 200 km south of
Tripoli. The finding represents the first record of this species from Libya.
