The beetle in the picture was collected sitting on leaves of undetermined thistle species growing in the plateaus under the peak region of Nemrut Dagi Mt. (Adiyaman prov., Anatolia, SE Turkey).

According to Rejzek et al. (2001) in Turkey Pteromallosia albolineata develops in Echinops sp. (Asteraceae) and sg. Cynarae (Asteraceae).
