According to Rejzek (in litteris) Chlorophorus dinae develops in dead branches still attached to
living trunks and in dead trunks of deciduous trees (Quercus, Ostrya, Carpinus). The
larval substrate is a very compact and dry dead wood. Larval development lasts 2 years.
