Iberodorcadion abulense, an endemic species to Central Spain, has been described from Ávila province as Dorcadion abulense by Jorge Lauffer in 1902 [❖].
Its subspecies I. abulense granulipenne, occuring from provinces Ávila and Salamanca, has been originally described as Dorcadion granulipenne by Manuel Martínez de la Escalera in 1908 [✧].
