Agapanthia dahli nitidipennis, an endemic subspecies to Georgia, has been described from Jvari (ჯვარი) environs (Georgia) as Agapanthia nitidipennis by Carolus Holzschuh in 1984 [✱]. According to Maxima A. Lazarev, however, it is not a separate species, but only a subspecies of a very variable and plastic species Agapanthia dahli [❖].

Host plant:polyphagous in herbaceous plants
Distribution:an endemic subspecies to Georgia


The depicted beetles were collected in steppes in Kasristskali village environs (Kakheti Region of Eastern Georgia) on May 17, 2016.
