Anaglyptus luteofasciatus, an endemic species to Peloponnese peninsula (South Greece), has been described from Kalavryta environs (Peloponnese) by Maurice Pic in 1905. Anaglyptus moreanus, described from Trikalla environs by Carl Demelt in 1970 [✮], is considered a junior synonym of A. luteofasciatus. This beautiful and very rare species is listed on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species as Endangered. Range of this species covers only a few, severely fragmented localities with a spatial extent of less than 5 000 km² and an area of occupancy of less than 500 km² [❖]. Larvae develop in dry wood of broadleafed trees (reported from Prunus sp.), and overwinter as imago. Life cycle of at least 2 years. Adults are found from May to June on flowers, especially on blossoming hawthorns. This species behaves similar to Anaglyptus mysticus, adults are most active in the afternoon, but usually they are hardly observable, moving among the twigs and leaves of hawthorns, rarely visiting the inflorescences.
