Anarchambyx pipposamai, a rare and not well known species endemic to Arabian peninsula [✱], has been described (together with a new genus) from Yemen by Gianfranco Sama in 2007 [▽].

Host plant:Vachellia spp.
Distribution:an endemic species to Arabian peninsula (Saudi Arabia, Yemen)


The depicted mounted female beetle was reared from larva found in dead Vachellia in Al-Mandaq (المندق‎) environs (Hejaz region, Al-Baha Province, Saudi Arabia) on May 22. 2024.
