Apatophysis danczenkoi, a rare endemic species to Iran, has been described from Kerman province by Mikhail L. Danilevsky in 2006 [✧].

Body length:14 - 15 mm
Life cycle:2 and more years [?]
Adults in:June - August
Host plant:unknown, but probably develops in roots of desert shrubs and trees
Distribution:an endemic species to Iran


Depicted male beetle (14 mm) was collected in Sānīg (سانيج) village environs (1600 m a.s.l., Shir Kuh mountain, Central district of Taft County, Yazd province, Iran) on June 1, 2010.
