Callimus angulatus glabrescens, an endemic subspecies to Crete, has been decribed from Omalos environs by Carolus Holzschuh in 1989 [▽].

Body length:7 - 9 mm
Life cycle:1 - 2 years
Adults in:May - June
Host plant:polyphagous in deciduous trees (Quercus, Acer etc.)
Distribution:an endemic subspecies to Crete


The beetle in the pictures was reared from larva found 2 km SE of Malia (Μάλια; N35°16′07″ E25°28′38″, 200 m a.s.l., Heraklion regional unit, Crete, Greece) on June 28 - July 5, 2018.
