Chlorophorus figuratus, an Euro-Turanian xerophilic species widespread from Portugal to southern Urals and Kazakhstan, has been described from Carniola (Slovenia) as Cerambyx Figuratus by Giovanni Antonio Scopoli in 1763 [❖]. Larval development in standing dying or dead deciduous trees, in branches or weaker trunks as well as in dead parts of living trees (in trunks with abraded bark and stumps of broken branches). Several generations can develop in the same wood at the same time. Life-cycle two years, pupation in wood in early spring. Adults, active from May to August, are diurnal and can be found on flowers or the host trees [✧][✮].

The depicted beetles were collected in: (DR) - Lukov environs (Znojmo district, South Moravia, Czechia) on June 20, 20220; (ML: grey pubescence) - Sýkořice village environs (Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area, Rakovník district, Central Bohemia, Czechia) on May 12, 2022; (ML: yellow pubescence) - reared from larva found in dead oak (Quercus robur) branch in Roztoky village environs (N50°00′16″ E13°52′28″; 450 m a.s.l, Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area, Rakovník district, Central Bohemia, Czechia) in December 2022; (MH) - mountains 2 km W of Getahovit (Գետահովիտ, Ijevan, Tavush Province, Armenia) on June 18, 2012.
