Conizonia simia, an endemic species to Algeria, has been described from Tikjda environs (1500 m a.s.l., Djurdjura Range, Tell Atlas, Algeria) by Gianfranco Sama in 2005 [▽].

Adults in:April - May
Host plant:Carthamus pinnatus (Asteraceae)
Distribution:an endemic species to Algeria


The depicted mounted beetles (paratypes) were captured in Tikjda environs (type locality; 1300-1700 m a.s.l., Djurdjura Range, Tell Atlas, Algeria) on April 11-14, 1988.
