Daramus (Daramus) major macrops (Peyerimhoff, 1943) was described also under names Daramus mehennii Sama, 1994 and Daramus sahrawi Sama & Rapuzzi, 2008. Both taxa were synonymised by Adlbauer in 2012 [❖]. The correct position of genus Daramus in family Cerambycidae tree is stiil questionable (tribes Saphanini or Hesperophanini) and opinions differ author from author.
