Dorcadion (Cribridorcadion) bangi, an endemic species to Turkey, has been described from Kastamonu environs by Lucas Friedrich Heyden in 1894 [❖].

The depicted beetle [❖] was collected on the ground in low vegetation in Devrekani environs (Kastamonu province, Black Sea region of Turkey) in April 1977.
