Dorcadion czegodaevi, a rare Dorcadion-species endemic to Azerbaijan, has been described by Mikhail Leontievich Danilevsky in 1992 [❖].

Body length:9.4 - 13.8 mm
Life cycle:1 year
Adults in:April - May
Host plant:roots of herbaceous plants and grass
Distribution:an endemic species to Azerbaijan


The depicted beetle was collected on the ground in low vegetation on Besh Barmag Mountain (Siyazan district, Azerbaijan) on April 28, 2013.
