This remakrable and rare species was described by Stephen Breuning from Kožuf Planina (Кожуф планина; former Yougoslavia, now Republic of North Macedonia) [❖].

Body length:10 - 15 mm
Life cycle: 1 year
Adults in:April - June
Host plant:roots of herbaceous plants and grass
Distribution:an endemic species to North Macedonia


The depicted beetle was collected on the ground in low vegetation in Kožuf Ski Center (Kožuf Planina, RNM) on May 19, 2017.
