Dorcadion (Acutodorcadion) pelidnum was described from Alexandrovskii Range near Tokmak (nowadays Kyrgyz Ala Range near Tokmok, Kyrgyzstan) by Bassili Evgrafovitch Jakovlev in 1906 [❖].

Body length:♂♂ 18-21.1 mm / ♀♀ 20.6-21.5 mm
Life cycle:1 year
Adults in:May - June
Host plant:roots of herbaceous plants and grasses
Distribution:endemic species to Kyrgyzstan


The depicted beetle was collected in Orlovka environs (1800 m a.s.l., Kemin District, Chuy Region, Kyrgyzstan) on May 14, 2000.
