Phytoecia (Helladia) adelpha, a species occuring in Armenia, Cyprus, Syria and Turkey, has been described from Syria by Ludwig Ganglbauer in 1886 [✮].
Discussion among experts about whether it is a separate species or a mere subspecies of Phytoecia (Helladia) orbicollis Reiche et Saulcy, 1858 continues even today.
