Lapsana communis Linnaeus (Asteraceae) has been reported [✧] to serve as a host plant for both the nominate Phytoecia (Helladia) praetextata praetextata (Steven, 1817) and Phytoecia (Helladia) praetextata nigricollis Pic, 1891. Recent studies have shown that in eastern Turkey Phytoecia (Helladia) praetextata praetextata with another still undetermined host.
