Mesoprionus lefebvrei, a Turano-Mediterranean species distributed in Near-Easta and Turkey, has been described from Syria as Prionus Lefebvrei by Sylvain Augustin Marseul in 1856 [▽].

Body length:25 - 45 mm
Life cycle:2 - 3 years
Adults in:June - August
Host plant:polyphagous on decidous trees/shrubs (Acacia mollissima, Ligustrum ovalifolium, Quercus sp., Platanus sp., Ficus sp.)
Distribution:Egypt (Sinai), Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey
