A sub-mountainous species developing in living branches of honeysuckle (Lonicera sp.) shrubs. The species used to be more rare in Czechia in the past, but it has found an alternative habitat in parks and hedges where honeysuckle shrubs are frequently grown for decorative purposes. Here, it sometimes occurs on mass (Prague for example). The adults are sitting on leaves of the host.

The depicted living specimen was photographed in Prague-Letňany (Central Bohemia, Czechia) on Myy 28, 2018. The mounted beetle was collected on a living honeysuckle (Lonicera sp.) in Dubeč (Prague suburban area, Central Bohemia, Czechia).
