A sub-mountainous species developing in living branches of honeysuckle (Lonicera sp.) shrubs.
The species used to be more rare in Czech Republic in the past, but it has found an alternative habitat in
parks and hedges where honeysuckle shrubs are frequently grown for decorative purposes. Here, it sometimes
occurs on mass (Prague for example). The adults are sitting on leaves of the host.

The beetles in the picture were collected on a living honeysuckle (Lonicera sp.) in Dubeč (Prague suburban area, Czech Republic).
