Phytoecia affinis tuerki, a subspecies occuring in Bulgaria, Turkey and Syria, has been described from Brussa (Bursa porovince, Turkey) as Phytoecia Türki by Ludwig Ganglbauer in 1884 [▽].

Body length:10 - 16 mm
Life cycle:1 year
Adults in:May - June
Host plant:oligophagous in Apiaceae (Chaerophyllum, Pastinacia, Bupleurum, Imperatoria etc.)
Distribution:Bulgaria, Syria, Turkey


Depicted beetles were collected in Ropotamo reserve (13 m a.s.l., N42°18′06″ E27°43′44″, SE Bulgaria) on June 10-20, 2010.
