Phytoecia (Pseudocoptosia) cinerascens, an interesting Central-Asian Phytoecia-species, has been described from Samarkand environs (Uzbekistan) by Gustav Kraatz in 1882 [✧].

Depicted mounted beetles were collected in Saryagash (Сарыағаш/Saryağaş) environs (Saryagash district, Turkistan region, Kazakhstan) on April 18, 1989.
