Pogonarthron petrovi has been described by Michail Danilevsky from West Tadzhikistan [15 km SW of Gissar (Ҳисор/Hisor), northern Babatag Ridge - 600 m a.s.l., Dzhartepe; July 25-26, 2003] in 2004 [❖].
