Psilotarsus heydeni heydeni, known from montanne forests of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, has been described from Namangan environs (Uzbekistan) as Prionus Heydeni by Ludwig Ganglbauer in 1888 [▽].

Body length:♂♂ 17.4 – 45.5 mm / ♀♀ 30.5 – 50 mm
Life cycle:at least 3 years
Adults in:May–August
Host plant:polyphagous in rotten wood of deciduous trees
Distribution:Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan


The depicted beetles were collected in: ♂♂ – Ozgur (Озгур) village environs (Kara-Suu district, Osh region, Kyrgyzstan) on June 26, 2024; ♀ – Jany-Aryk (Жаңы-Арык) village environs (Kara-Suu district, Osh region, Kyrgyzstan) on June 24, 2024.
