Agapanthia dahli walteri, an Irano-Anatolian taxon occuring in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Iran, and Turkey, has been described from Armenia as Agapanthia Walteri by Edmund Reitter in 1898 [▽]. Maxim Lazarev this taxon downgraded to a subspecific level (A. dahli walteri, Reitter, 1898) in 2013 [❖]. According to Martin Rejzek et al. [✧] in Turkey Agapanthia dahli walteri develops in Cirsium sp. (Asteraceae).

Host plant:herbaceous plants (Cirsium, Carduus, Heracleum, Ferula etc.)
Distribution:Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Iran, Turkey


The depicted beetles were collected in Shamshīr (شمشير‎) village environs (1770-2000 m a.s.l, Central District of Paveh County, Kermanshah Province, Iran) on a May 27, 2017 and May 22, 2015.
