The hilly landscape around Buglan Pass (Buğlan Geçidi; N38°56′25.17″ 41°9′13.24″; 1600-1800 m a.s.l.), located on the D300 road connecting provincial centers Bingol and Muş, is one of the richest and most famous Cerambycidae localities in Eastern Turkey, despite its relatively small size.

Hills, which are part of Şerafettin Dağları (Şerafettin Mts.), lies on the border of the subalpine grass-steppes of eastern Anatolia and the dry Quercus brantii forest-steppe. Pictoresque landscape around pass covered by rocky steppes, pastures and grazing oak forests is an ideal place for collecting many species developing in herbs, shrubs and trees - especially in Quercus brantii. The reason for the unusual biodiversity and the very high degree of endemism of this small locality is still an enigma for us. From numerous species, which were found here during several expeditions organised by our web portal autors, their friends and key contributors, is necessary to remind following Cerambycid taxa:
